Runs in your browser

Your IRS, checked line by line.

Drop the tax office's liquidation for any year. We redo the calculation, explain it in plain English, and show what it doesn't tell you: deductions that didn't count, whether joint or separate filing was cheaper, what's due next, and whether you can still fix it. No documents yet? Enter your numbers and simulate the return before you file.

Your documents never leave this device. They're read and recalculated inside this browser tab — no upload, no account, nothing stored.

What it checks

  • The calculation itself

Every line of the liquidation, recalculated from your declaration with the rules of that year. What each line means

  • Deductions that didn't count

Health, education and other expenses that were lost because your tax was already covered.

  • Joint or separate

For couples: what the other option would have cost, in euros.

  • Freelance expenses

What the 15% expense rule added to your income, and how to avoid it next year.

  • What if

The same income recalculated with IRS Jovem, a PPR, the 20% IFICI rate and next year's rules — with what each would change, in euros.

  • What to do, and by when

Your next steps with their dates, what each is worth and where to do it on Portal das Finanças. Download it all as a PDF or add the dates to your calendar.

Questions

Where do I get these PDFs?
On Portal das Finanças, open the IRS area. 'Consultar Liquidação' lets you download the Demonstração de Liquidação for each year; 'Consultar Declaração' lets you download the comprovativo of the Modelo 3 you submitted. Both are PDFs.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The PDFs are read and recalculated inside this browser tab. Nothing about them — no names, NIFs, IBAN or amounts — is uploaded or stored. Closing the tab forgets everything. The one exception is your choice: if you ask for your next steps by email, that list (the steps, their dates and amounts) is sent to us once to be emailed to you, and not kept.
Which years does it cover?
Any year's liquidation can be read and explained, and you can drop several years at once to see them side by side. The full recalculation and the joint vs separate comparison cover 2022 to 2026 income: salaries and pensions (Anexo A), freelance income in the simplified regime (Anexo B) and the expenses declared in Anexo H. Rental, capital and foreign income are coming next.
Can I use it without the documents, or before I file?
Yes. Choose 'Enter my numbers' and type in your salary, pension or freelance income and your e-Fatura deduction totals. You get the same calculation, joint vs separate comparison, what-if scenarios and next steps — useful to check a return before you submit it.
Do I need an account?
No. The report, the PDF and the calendar file are made in your browser from your own documents, so there's nothing to sign up for. If you'd like your next steps by email, you can ask for them at the end of the report.
Is this tax advice?
No — it's information about your own documents. If a finding suggests correcting a declaration, a contabilista can confirm it and file the correction.

Deadline reminders

Get a reminder before the next IRS season.

A short email a week before the February e-Fatura check, before IRS filing opens in April and before it closes in June — and before the other Portuguese tax deadlines. Usually one to three emails a month.
